1893 is one of only 3 years where we see a change of bust design, mid mintage. The first occurance was in 1887 with the change from the Victoria young head design to the Jubilee head and the most recent was in 2015 with the change from Queen Elizabeth II's fourth portrait to the fifth.
The veiled head design was minted in London, Melbourne & Sydney, whilst the Jubilee design was only produced in Melbourne and Sydney.
